Pumpkin Carving and the Start of Winter

Today was a great day! We had our first snow here in Utah that actually touched the city! All day at work there was a blizzard going on outside! It was crazy! After a day of work Pablo and I met up with our friends Zach and Jordan for dinner and then headed home for pumpkin carving. Our apartment complex is having a pumpkin carving contest that is allowing us to get discounted rent. Pablo and I wanted to make awesome pumpkins and so we went and got a small pumpkin carving kit and some sketches. We had a lot of fun carving out our pumpkins while we watched So You Think You Can Dance. It was a great night. I would say the only downfall, is that it's so cold!

One amazing day!

On Saturday Pablo and I had the opportunity to go down to Salt Lake City and go to the Salt Lake temple. On Pablo's mission he taught a less active family, and the wife, Hannah Valentine finally was ready to take out her endowments. They decided to do it in the Salt Lake Temple, and luckily Pablo and I were able to go. While we were at the temple we ran into some old friends from Federal Way. Conner Edwards and his beautiful wife were also taking out their endowments. When we were finally able to talk to them we found out that they were getting sealed together right after the session and they invited us to come along. It was wonderful to be able to be there with them. The ceremony was beautiful and the sealer said so many wonderful things. It made me realize how important Pablo is to me, and how we need to cherish our spouse. The most touching part of the ceremony, was that after Conner and his wife were sealed they brought in their little baby boy and he was able to be sealed to his parents. It was so special to be there and witness that. It really made my day. It was probably one the most special things I had ever seen in my life. After we were done celebrating with the Edwards we took some pictures outside the SLC temple. When Pablo and I returned home to Provo, Pablo had to go to work and so I was stuck at home thinking my wonderful day was over. At about eleven I got a text from my cousin and his girlfriend Katy, they were getting marred! I am so excited for them! they are so cute together and Pabo and I love them to pieces. We can't wait to have them be sealed for all time and eternity. To say the least, Saturday was an excellent day.

Hannah Valentine is in the purple on the far left. This is her with her family outside the Salt Lake Temple.

Friday Nights

Pablo and I decided to go out for some fun Friday night. As we were getting ready we took some cute pictures that I wanted to share. Friday night was a fun night for the two of us. We first went to a dollar movie and saw The Time Travelers Wife, which I thought was very good. Then we headed over to Pizza Pie Cafe (My job) to try the famous cookie monster. A cookie monster is a cookie thats halfway cooked, has ice cream, whipped cream, and carmel and fudge on it. It was so good! We devoured it! It was so good to see the Pizza Pie Cafe full of people. Next, Pablo and I headed over to Fat Cats (One of Pablo's jobs) and bowled. Since Pablo works there we are able to get free bowling whenever we want. It's really fun! We challenged each other to bowl in all sorts of funny ways. I must brag that I won the first game, and should have won the second. Pablo beat me by three points in the second game! (I had a gutter ball on my last roll!) :( I must say it was a very fun night, and it was nice to have some time with my husband.
I think this picture of Podi is classic!

Pizza Pie Cafe

I mentioned in an earlier post that I am currently working for Craigos. Well the name has been changed to Pizza Pie Cafe and.... it's finally open! Its a great place and everyone should try it. Its in Provo off of University Parkway! Make sure to come stop by and try our awesome buffet of pizza pasta and salad.

Happy Anniversary

Pablo and I celebrated our first anniversary together this past Sunday! It is crazy to think that we have already been married a year! The time has flown by! Since it was Sunday we couldn't really do much but we still made it a special day. After church and our Sunday nap, we made a really nice meal (Which is rare in our house) and enjoyed a fun evening together. Since we have been really tight with money lately we decided not to do anything big or get each other presents for now. We are hoping in a about a month we will have some money and we will be able to spend the night somewhere and actually celebrate! For now a nice dinner and movie will have to do! Thanks for an awesome great year hunny! love you!

Yellow Jackets

When I was growing up I sum how got stung by bees all the time. It was horrible. I remember at my aunts house one summer I was walking around barefoot and stepped on a bunch of bees! It was horrible. I have even been stung right between my eye and my nose! That was horrible too. So since my childhood was filled with bee stings I am now terrified of them. Our apartment complex has a nest of yellow jackets near the pool area hidden in flower bed. It drives me crazy. all the yellow jackets fly around all the entrances to the stairs and it scares the crap out of me everyday. Sometimes I feel like they taunt me because they know I don't like them. I purposefully try and take other entrances to my apartment so that I don't have to see them. Pablo always says, "Your fine." I don't know why, but I get so scared. The other day Pablo and I were watching Animal Planet and we saw how this car was drivin and they accidently drove over a yellow jacket's nest that was buried in the ground. This car had thousands of yellow jackets swarming around it ready to kill. I made pablo turn it off because I was so scared. I just got chills even thinking about it. Yellow jackets are currently one of my worst fears. Enough said. :(

Cars

Pablo and I have realized that we are going to need another car to go along with our Honda Civic. I go to BYU and Pablo goes to UVU. We don't live in walking distance of BYU, unless you want to die in the snow and die trying to walk down all the hills so we are stuck. I guess I could snowboard to school. We also both have jobs and we can't rely on a bus to pick us up with our crazy schedules. So, all of this concludes to needing another car! We are looking for a price range of about 3000 and less. We are hoping for something that will be good in the snow and we would love to have front wheel drive. We are also looking for something that can last us at least three or four years and has less then 100,000 miles on it. We have been searching like crazy everywhere and we are having no luck. If you find anything please let us know! We have found some good deals but nothing yet that is totally catching our eye. Car buying is so frustrating. Hopefully one day soon I can write a new post telling you we have found our dream car. As for now, pray for us.
